The Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, Karina Gould, recently announced that Community Foundations of Canada alongside Canadian Red Cross, and United Way Centraide Canada have been selected to distribute the Community Services Recovery Fund, a one-time investment of $400 million that will help a broad and diverse range of charities, non-profits and Indigenous Governing Bodies adapt and modernize, so they can support pandemic recovery in communities across Canada.
The Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough is specifically responsible for distributing funding in the City and County of Peterborough, as well as the County of Haliburton, for Investing in Organizational Systems and Processes. Examples include, organizational restructuring, mergers/amalgamation, strategic planning, governance structure and review, financial stability, fundraising feasibility plans, fund generation, and business continuity.
Interested applicants can answer a short questionnaire to find out if they are eligible to apply here. This questionnaire will take you to the appropriate funding page where you can register and begin your on-line application. This is the only way to apply.
Of note: You may save your application to work on at another time before submitting it. Just save your work, log out, and then come back to it whenever you’re ready to continue (before the deadline).
