$400 million investment from the Government of Canada to support charities and non-profits
The Community Services Recovery Fund will provide funding to Community Service Organization such as non-profit organizations, Indigenous Governing Bodies or Registered Charities located in Canada that provide services to communities across the country.
Now more than ever, charities and non-profits are playing a key role in addressing persistent and complex social problems faced by all Canadians.
The Community Services Recovery Fund responds to what charities and non-profits need right now and supports organizations as they adapt to the long-term impacts of the pandemic.
The Community Foundation has been tasked with distributing a portion of this funding to organizations in the City and County of Peterborough, as well as Haliburton County.
The Foundation’s funding focus is on investing in organizational systems and processes. Examples include: organizational restructuring, mergers/amalgamation, strategic planning, governance structure and review, financial stability, fundraising feasibility plans, fund generation, and business continuity.
