Community Response Fund

The Community Response Fund is here to support and sustain local charities

In March 2020, our community came together to support a local response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID-19 Community Response Fund raised nearly $21,000 and provided financial assistance for ongoing recovery needs as charities, and the people they serve, adapted to and recovered from the effects of the pandemic.

In December 2022, in response to the lack of overnight shelter spaces for unhoused people, community members donated $30,000 in just a couple of weeks to help pay for the StopGap program at Trinity Centre that successfully provided temporary winter shelter from January to April 2023. .

The Community Response Fund is here to provide flexible funds to help address emerging and urgent needs in our community. Funds will be directed to local charities as quickly as possible. One hundred percent of funds raised will be distributed in direct consultation with the recipient agencies.
