Myrtle’s Kitchen, Peterborough Public Health’s purpose built kitchen in their King Street location, is a hub of activity, and the “heart” of PPH’s food security programming.

Since Myrtle’s Kitchen opened in 2016, it’s been used as a teaching kitchen for the Come Cook With Us Program, a 5-week, hands on series that builds food literacy through food and nutrition knowledge and food preparation skills. It’s used as a commercial kitchen to prepare meals, hold World Food Day conversations, and prepare Nourish Peterborough Community Dinners. It was also used as a preparation centre for over 30,000 healthy snacks for school children over the first two years of the pandemic.

Donations to this fund support the ongoing food security initiatives of Peterborough Public Health.
